[15/01/2005] The five runner-ups for the Minotauro 2005 contest of fantastic novel in Spanish, the best endowed in the world with 18,000 euros, have been announced. They include Víctor Conde with El teatro secreto, Rodolfo Martínez with Este incómodo ropaje, and Eduardo Vaquerizo with Danza de tinieblas. The winner will be announced in mid-February.

[07/11/2004] The Ignotus award for the best short story, voted by the members of the Spanish Association for Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror and the attendees to the HispaCon, the national Spanish convention (held in Cádiz), went to "Negras águilas" by Eduardo Vaquerizo.

[15/9/2003] Mexican mainstream magazine Blanco Móvil published an issue on Spanish SF edited by Julián Díez, including the short stories "El coleccionista" by Víctor Conde, "Tormenta" by José Antonio Cotrina, "Piensa lo que quieras" by Rodolfo Martínez and "El obrador" by Eduardo Vaquerizo.

[15/07/2003] The Polish translation of Lágrimas de luz by Rafael Marín has appeared under the title Krople swiatla (Solaris).

[07/07/2003] French publishing house Imaginaires Sans Frontières has bought the rights for the French translation of Lágrimas de luz by Rafael Marín. Publication is scheduled for November 2004.

[01/07/2003] Spanish publishing house Robel has begun to publish a new edition of the Orden Estelar series by Ángel Torres Quesada on a monthly bases. The total number of volumes planned is 28.

[13/03/2003] Polish publishing house Solaris has bought the rights for the Polish translation of Lágrimas de luz by Rafael Marín. Publication is scheduled for June 2003.

[10/03/2003] "Horizontes de sucesos", a short story by Víctor Conde, has appeared in Spanish SF magazine Solaris.

[28/02/2003] Spanish publishing house Minotauro (a company belonging to Planeta) has published a Spanish science fiction anthology selected by expert Julián Díez. It includes the best stories of the past 20 years; among them, "Entre líneas", by José Antonio Cotrina, "Mein Führer" by Rafael Marín, "Un jinete solitario" by Rodolfo Martínez and "Una esfera perfecta" by Eduardo Vaquerizo.

[01/02/2003] Ángel Torres Quesada's past career as a pulp SF writer was quoted in a piece about pulp fiction in the February issue of Spanish mainstream literature magazine Qué Leer.
